How this is compiled
Every figure comes from official Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act filings, the notices US employers must file with state governments before a mass layoff or plant closure. CanaryWhistle aggregates these public records across 34 states, resolves each employer's filings into a single company, and updates continuously.
